Higher Rates of Advanced Thyroid Cancer Found in California

Compared with the rest of the country, California has higher rates of advanced thyroid cancer, according to investigators at the University of California, Los Angeles Jonsson Comprehensive Cancer Center. Reporting their findings in the Journal of Surgical Research (2015 Nov. [Epub ahead of print]), the investigators wrote that the causes underlying the disparities remain unclear.
