The FDA has authorized the marketing of a new artificial intelligence-guided software to detect lesions in real time during colonoscopy. The software, called Magentiq-Colo, will be made available in the United States this fall, according to a company press release.
Studies have found that the program can help providers increase their adenoma detection rate (ADR) during colonoscopies, according to the company. One multicenter study of more than 950 patients found ADR increased by 26% relatively
