A novel genetic risk score can determine both the likelihood and severity of prostate cancer in men of African ancestry (Eur Urol 2023 Feb 27. doi:10.1016/j.eururo.2023.01.022). The score, which was developed using the largest-ever genetic analysis of prostate cancer in men of African descent, also identified nine new genetic loci with mutations that can predispose individuals to prostate cancer.
