Endometrial Ca: Sx Too Early Can Raise Mortality Risk

It may come as no surprise that delaying hysterectomy in women with endometrial cancer can increase their risk for death, but new research suggests that surgery performed too early after diagnosis may be just as dire.

The study found that women who had surgery within two weeks of their diagnosis had a significantly increased risk of dying within five years compared with those whose surgeries took place three or four weeks after diagnosis (Am J Obstet Gynecol 2016 Dec 9. [Epub ahead of print],
