Lung Cancer Presents Differently in Younger Patients

Investigators call for prospective studies on large populations

Lung cancer diagnosed in patients 45 years of age or younger appears to present different characteristics than cases in older patients, according to investigators in France.

The investigators wrote that their preliminary findings, published in the European Respiratory Journal (2015;46[suppl 59].doi:10.1183/13993003.congress-2015.PA4296), indicate a need for prospective studies on large populations.
