A patient’s response to cytoreductive nephrectomy three months after surgery may be a prognostic indicator of longer-term survival in metastatic renal cell carcinoma (mRCC), investigators have reported in a new study.
Evidence of response three months after cytoreductive nephrectomy, the investigators said, “seems to be a prognostic milestone for overall survival” in this patient population. “It might also aid in selecting those patients who are eligible for delaying
