ASCO Report: Insurance Increases Early Detection of Screenable Cancers

Patients who develop cancer that can be detected by screening are more likely to get an early-stage diagnosis if they have adequate insurance coverage, such as the kind provided through the Affordable Care Act, according to a new study that will be presented at the 2017 annual meeting of ASCO (abstract 6521).
