DrySee released a waterproof bandage with a color-changing wetness indicator, which may help reduce the number of surgical site infections.
The bandage was developed to provide a secure, waterproof covering for low exudate wounds. When liquid penetrates the bandage, the perimeter gauge barrier will change color from light blue to dark blue—signaling the patient the seal has been broken.
