Exercise May Improve QOL in Lung Cancer, but Specifics Unclear

CHICAGO—Exercise may improve the quality of life (QOL) in patients with lung cancer, but the ideal type, amount and timing of the exercise remain unclear, according to a systematic review presented at the 2019 annual meeting of the American Society of Clinical Oncology (abstract e23158). 

“Some studies have shown that exercise is feasible and safe for this population, and it improves their symptoms and quality of life. However, the current recommendations are nonspecific, and
