Study Finds 25% Rate of Colorectal Neoplasia in Hispanics
ISSUE: SEPTEMBER, 2010 A retrospective analysis of colonoscopic data from 745 asymptomatic Puerto Ricans has revealed a colorectal neoplasia prevalence of 25%. Men and older individuals were more likely to develop neoplasia, according to the study presented at the 2010 Digestive Diseases Week. Drug Combination Improves Survival in Pancreatic Cancer
ISSUE: AUGUST, 2010 Clinicians have a new regimen to consider for the first-line treatment of certain patients with metastatic pancreatic cancer. First-line therapy with FOLFIRINOX, a combination of older chemotherapeutic drugs, improved median overall survival (OS) of certain patients with pancreatic cancer by four months (11.1 vs. 6.8 months) compared with gemcitabine (Gemzar, Eli Lilly).

Ipilimumab Improves Survival In Advanced Melanoma
